Biography of Pieter van der Zweep

Pieter van der Zweep was born on January 9, 1989 in Delfzijl, the Netherlands. From an early age, he regularly saw big stars perform in his parents’ catering business De Bolder. This stimulated him to practice his own singing skills in a private circle, until he received a singing lesson from his brother on his 18th birthday.

The singing teacher is wildly enthusiastic and tells Pieter that he truly has a talent. From that moment on, the young singer throws off his trepidation and starts performing with various bands. He also goes into the studio to release his own music. In the years that followed, Pieter did not sit still and popular Dutch singles were born.

As seen on radio and television

Pieter’s musical endeavors do not go unnoticed and his fame was steadily increasing. His debut single was proclaimed a summer hit  on the Dutch television network SBS6, he reached the final of the Radio 538 Demo Duel and he sang an unforgettable duet with Laura Jansen in the Glass House during 3FM Serious Request.

In 2017 Pieter participated in the well-known talent show The voice of Holland; an opportunity that he grabs with both hands. His participation takes him to the knockout rounds of the show and makes him a familiar face among millions of Dutch people. Later, the singer successfully participated in the show Beat Me and is asked as a professional for the jury of All Together Now.
